Skip the Chemicals, Try These 5 Natural Remedies for Body Acne Instead

Body acne is one of the most frustrating skin issues to deal with. (ugh!) It often feels uncontrollable and makes us want to pull our hair out. The most awful part of it? What it does to our confidence level. You know the feeling, particularly in the warmer months, when getting dressed is wayyyy more difficult than it needs to be simply because we are trying to hide flare ups.

It’s common to frantically search the stores and find harsh chemicals claiming to help, and while they might, they may also cause some damage in the long and short term. Check out these Natural Remedies that with a little trial and error could do the trick!

Gentle Exfoliation. Those of us with acne-prone skin shed more skin cells than others. This is a recipe for clogged pores followed by acne flare ups if they aren’t removed. When using a gentle body scrub such as Fivesso, simply use it once or twice weekly. This simple step makes a huge difference in the skin's daily appearance. Fivesso is made with all natural ingredients and designed for even the most sensitive skin types, so it won’t make matters worse.

Moisturize. The skin has its own natural way of maintaining moisture with sebum oil. Unfortunately when environmental changes occur or we do a little too much of something to our skin, it can overproduce oil to compensate. When this happens, you’ll still need to moisturize daily with a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Fivesso coffee skincare products exfoliate and moisturize simultaneously using organic coffee and oils such as coconut oil and jojoba oil that do it all in one step.

Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil has been used for many years to treat acne in a very gentle way. It’s affordable and can be used on its’ own or look for it within other skincare products as well. Studies have shown that applying 5% tea tree oil to the skin effectively reduces acne, it’s certainly worth a shot!

Stress Reduction. Yes, good ole’ stress as you likely are already aware has an effect on acne. It’s damn near impossible to have zero stress for most of us, but a dramatic decrease can be accomplished if we prioritize it. Try to create time for yourself and practice periods of meditation, rest and exercise. Remember how important you truly are, and be sure to make your mental awareness a priority. It will allow your body to balance cortisol levels and reduce stress overall.

Diet Check. Our skin is directly affected by what we put inside our body. If you aren’t eating a nutrient rich diet and drinking enough water, then that in itself certainly could be contributing to acne. Consuming enough water is such a simple step that too many people skip right over, so prioritize it folks! Taking it a bit further, there’s also the possibility for food sensitivities to dairy, gluten and more. An elimination diet might be something worth looking into. Dairy has been shown to have a direct impact on back acne specifically. The androgens and growth hormones found in milk products may encourage acne development.

Each body is unique and it’s important to remember that skincare is not a one size fits all type deal. What works for others may not work for you. Your skin type is uniquely yours and being aware of it is crucial when choosing skincare products and remedies. Unsure of your actual skin type? Find out here!

Consider these trials a scientific beauty project when searching for the best products that work for YOU specifically. Remember, you totally deserve to look and feel your best each and every day!
